Taking God’s Set Wave

Published: Mon Apr 10, 2023

Living Water

by Trea Ditto

You ever go out on a really big day just to be on the edge of your comfort zone? You battle making it through the inside; hoping you duck dive deep enough every wave. Anxieties already on edge, with each wave crashing over you. You make it out and are waiting for THE ONE. You see a large set coming so you paddle into position. You’re paddling into a monster of a wave and look down and think “Can I make this drop? Should I pull out?”

But you battle through the fear. Through the insecurities of your own strength and abilities, and commit to the drop and make the wave of a lifetime. I feel this way when God’s asking me to take a giant leap in my faith. To trust what He has in store, for me. Do I paddle into his plan and fully commit for the ride of a lifetime? Or do I cower back into my mundane comfortable life? Do I miss the opportunity to follow God’s plan because of the fear of being too deep or fear of wiping out? How many times have you pulled back, only to see the wave fully open up, to be a beautiful face?

God’s plan is always better, so just take the wave!

Proverbs 16:9

The heart of a man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
