Chile Surf & Serve 2025

Published: Fri Jan 17, 2025

Category: Surf & Serve

Trip/Event Date:
Sat Apr 19, 2025 - Tue Apr 29, 2025

This is an amazing trip! It is far away and can be stretching. Dustin Klapproth and Noah Rhen who live at the Christian Surfers Oceanside men’s discipleship house will both be leading the trip. We will serve the YWAM base in Pichilemu which also serves as a public community center reaching thousands of locals with their public pool, gym, basketball courts, dance classes and more. The past couple years we have been helping with construction needs by building a multipurpose room doing various jobs such as plumbing, framing, finish work, painting and laying a concrete slab for a soon to be skatepark. This year will be variable. We may be on construction, running kids camps, teaching swim lessons, or doing local outreach events. There is no construction experience required. Most likely alittle of everything. If you are someone that loves to work hard, learn new skills and score long rippable lefts we would love to have you join us on this epic surf and serve. Please email Southwest Regional Coordinator Cheyne Jobbins for more information and the registration link.

HAVE QUESTIONS?

We are so stoked that you are interested in joining us on a trip!
Take a look below at some of our frequently asked questions about our trips.

What will a typical day look like?

A typical day will look like a dawn patrol surf paddling out before the sun comes up. We will
drive to the nearest wave and surf. We will come back to eat breakfast then get to work. We will
be doing 5-7 hours of service every day (could be construction, kids camps, swim lessons,
outreach event ect.) The days will end with a devo and question. We will answer questions as
we walk to dinner into town.

What will the waves be like and what should my skill level be?

The surf is long, heavy, left points. All waves are advanced level surfing. There are no beginner
waves.

What if I can’t surf or the waves are flat, is there something else I can participate in?

The town is awesome and the area is beautiful. You are welcome to come if you can’t surf, as
long as you are willing to work hard in the service times.

What are the sleeping accommodations like?

We are staying at a YWAM base so it will be dorm style sleeping arrangements.

When will registration open?

Registration is open currently.

What does the registration fee include and not include?

Rego fee will NOT include the cost of flying your boards or luggage. (usually 150 each way for
boards) It includes flights, transportation, 3 meals a day, and place to stay. It will not include
snacks, souvenirs, or any extra activities.

What if i cant make it last minute, do i get a refund?

The deposit is non-refundable. If a last minute cancellation happens, your flight is also non
refundable.

What do I need to bring?

Packing list will be sent to all registrants. But Surfboards and Sunscreen are a great start!

Any other specifics I should know about?

Due to the difficult nature of this trip, please email Cheyne for a short questionnaire.
