The first step toward having a relationship with a perfect, just
and loving God who created you is to turn from following yourself.
You have to admit that you don’t have it all together; you fall short
of God’s standard of perfection. The Good News is that you don’t
have to be perfect, but you do have to admit that fact. You have to
get honest about who you are and who God is.
Take a moment and consider how you measure up to God.
He’s perfect and we’re not, we’re broken. Admitting that, is where we start.
Everyone has missed the mark and come up short of God’s glory.

Believe That Jesus Is the Only Solution and Give Yourself to Him
Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can have a relationship with God except through Him. There is only one answer to your brokenness and sin, and that is to trust in Jesus as your Forgiver and Boss. The Bible says that the price for our sin is death on every level – physical, spiritual, and eternal. God sent His Son to live the perfect life, die the worst death, and rise again so that by trusting in His life and His sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sin, you can enter into a relationship with God.
The payment for sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life thru Jesus.

Once you say no to yourself, admit you fall short of God’s standard, and believe that Jesus is the only solution than ask HIM to rescue you. HE will! Don’t worry about how you ask, there’s no magic formula. It’s Jesus’ death that pays for our sins and His coming back to life proves that it’s true. We enter into that forgiveness and friendship by ceasing to believe that we can rescue ourselves and starting to believe that it’s Jesus that rescues us. Maybe you have a hard time believing that, ask Jesus to help you believe.
Everyone that calls on the name of the LORD (Jesus) will be saved.

At this point God promises that HE will come into your life and open up, not only a friendship but a family connection for you. Part of His love for us includes that He doesn’t leave us the way He finds us. He begins to heal deep wounds in us and restructure our life. He sets us free from ourselves so that we can let Him be the Boss.
Everyone who received him (Jesus), to those who believed on His name, He gave the right to become children of God…
