Growing up in West Virginia has some great benefits – surfing isn’t one of them. Dean began surfing in 1992 during college because he loved God and realized that God loves surfers. In 1998 he married a beautiful girl named Amy and the two set out to love their neighbors. Between the two of them, they have served as house cleaners, Bible teachers, worked at surf shops, as a carpenter and been on the Pastoral team of local churches among many other things. They both hold Bachelors degrees in Bible and neither of them likes onions all that well.

Currently they live in St Augustine, Florida with their 3 kids. One foster son, Ramon and two menehunes, Adyn Kealoha and Kael Kekoa Asher.

Their lives have been deeply impacted by the rad people God has brought along their Journey. Whether those that have lived with them or just laughed with them, each one that pointed them to Jesus has been used to help them become who they are today. Now, they seek to do just that for others.

Casey has been volunteering for CS since 2000, and joined the ministry full-time in 2005. His role as Director of Finance incorporates his background in accounting and finance into the ministry of Christian Surfers. Casey is married to Jennifer, also a native of Virginia Beach, VA. CSUS pulls together two of the biggest passions in Casey's life - surfing, and reaching others with the Gospel.

Originally from Alaska, Daniel’s heart for God grew as he attended a YWAM Discipleship Training School in Canada. With a strong desire to learn to surf and reach the boarding community, he attended BIOLA University where he earned a B.A. in Intercultural Studies, minored in Bible and met and married his lovely wife of 9 years, Allison. Their family’s path connected with Christian Surfers while working with Surfers for Missions in Australia. Impressed by Christian Surfer’s dedication and effectiveness in reaching the surfing community, Daniel worked with the Coolum chapter of Christian Surfers Australia before coming on staff with CSUS in 2005 as a chapter director in Alaska. He now works as national office staff and their family of five split time between Alaska and California.
