ASR was amazing this year! A group of 28 Christian Surfers showed up to help serve at the event. Run Wednesday through Saturday, CSUS was present every one of those days. We handed out free coffee in the morning, met conventioneers, invited them to come by our booth and built relationships. In the afternoons we manned the booth, gave out free copies of Surfer's Bibles and surf videos and answered questions about Christian Surfers and the Lord.
Coming with servant's hearts, none of the crew accepted any swag or free handouts but rather helped to set up booths, break down booths and have meaningful conversations.
Because this wasn't the first year for CS at ASR, many of the attendees knew Christian Surfers already, expressed how much they loved their presence there and would initiate conversations about Jesus and the Gospel.
One of the highlights was having one big clothing company ask why we did this, "What's the catch?" We were able to share that it's because Jesus loves them that we love them and we want to show that unconditional love to them through our actions. Thanks for supporting the event through prayer and pray that the many seeds planted would bear fruit that lasts forever!
