Who:
Members of CSUS ages 14 thru 17 that have made a clear decision in their lives to follow Jesus. Membership is free at christiansurfers.com Applications must be postmarked on or before April 5, 2008.
 What:
PANAMA PREP SCHOOL is a training experience that equips surfers to love God and love people! It is an intense time of learning practical ways that God can love others through you.
You will also have the opportunity to surf Venado, Panama with Rip Curl Pros Jason Andre and Tom Curren (that’s right, THE Tom Curren). Not to mention hanging with other CS groms from around the country. Nic McLean (maker of the movie Noah’s Arc) will be documenting your experience in and out of the water. There is also the possibility that your trip could be covered by one of the major magazines. When:
July 11-15, 2008. The 11th and the 15th will both be travel days with three solid days of training and surf squeezed between them. More details posted as event draws nearer.
Where:
Venado, Panama. We will be traveling together once in the  country. Our group will be divided between two locations for lodging that are about five minutes apart. One is a surf camp (no webpage) and the other is Villa Marina resort (playavenado.com).
How Much:
Each person is responsible for booking and payment of their own airfare. PANAMA PREP SCHOOL will cost $800 per person. That cost will cover everything once each person is on the ground in Panama. Getting to and returning from Panama will be the responsibility of each participant.
Should I apply?
The first question you need to ask yourself is, “Have you decided that you want to follow Jesus no matter what?” If the answer is “Yes” than you should apply. We’re not asking if your life is perfect but have you crossed the bridge of declaring that you follow Jesus.
What if I don’t surf so well?
We are not selecting participants solely based on surfing ability. But, there is the hope that we will be surfing over reef in sizeable waves (overhead). So, you should feel comfortable and somewhat competent in the water.
What should I do first?

5. Pray for CSUS leadership as they seek the Lord as to who should be apart of PANAMA PREP SCHOOL ’08.
When will I know if I’m going?
We will have a Doctor, from the USA, on the trip. Panama also has good medical facilities. The cost of the trip will include International Medical Insurance as well as Medical Travel Coverage.
What if I don’t fit the age brackets?
If you are close, submit an application. Each app. will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Will there be other people staying where you are lodging?
We will be renting out both facilities and will be the only groups there.
I don’t have enough money, but would like to go, what do I do?
You can fundraise for this trip, just like any other missions trip. You don’t have to come up with all the money yourself – though you should cover some. Documents will be sent to approved applicants about how to fundraise for the PANAMA PREP SCHOOL.
I’m not sure if I can make it or not, should I apply?
Yes, Please fill out the application. If you end up not being able to make it, your spot will go to the first alternate. It doesn’t cost anything to apply.
IF I END UP BEING SELECTED AND PAYING BUT CAN’T GO, DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?
NO. 35 GROMS WILL BE SELECTED, AFTER THE APPLICATION PROCESS. AFTER GROMS ARE SELECTED THEN MONEY WILL BE DUE. SO, YOU MAY BACK OUT BEFORE PAYING BUT AFTER APPLYING WITH NO PROBLEMS. AFTER BEING SELECTED AND PAYING MONEY WILL NOT BE RETURNED. ALL MONEY PAID TO THIS TRIP IN NON-REFUNDABLE.
What adults will be there?
There will be CS approved adults on the trip. There will be at least a 1 to 2.3 adult to teen ratio. The adults will be selected based on spiritual maturity as well as leadership. If you have questions on this, please call.
